Global Food Science & Regulatory Manager
For five years, Jennifer Guild has been the Global Food Science and Regulatory Manager for DDW. DDW’s mission is to enhance the visual appeal of food and beverage products and with nine manufacturing sites on five continents, DDW understands the demands of global regulatory compliance for its customers. Over the past 13 years, Jennifer has evaluated the regulations of flavours and colours for 70+ countries to clarify labeling, allergens, genetically modified organisms, organic foods and more. She also presented at the Food Ingredients Conference on natural coloring.
Community Involvement: On behalf of DDW, Jennifer initiated the Elementary School Garden volunteer project in Southern California. This elementary school community garden teaches over 500 students how to grow vegetables and fruits from seeds. Produce is donated to the local Second Harvest Food Bank. Once a month, Jennifer organizes an educational workshop for a Kindergarten class.
For Fun: Jennifer is married with one son and one daughter. When she’s not proactively or reactively responding to global regulatory changes related to colours, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and her pets or working on her garden.
Random Fact: Jennifer graduated from the University of Santa Cruz in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
